BC Bike Race
The BC Bike race is no doubt one of the hardest most exciting single track bike races that take place in our beautiful province of British Columbia or even in North America. This 7 day race starts in North Vancouver on June 28th and ends up in Whistler on July 5th, it heads thru some amazing towns and trails in Cumberland, Powell River, Earl Cove, Sechelt, Langdale, Squamish and then finally ending in Whistler.
More than 600 people from around the world participate on the best and most challenging trails in the world. The race tours thru the West Coast where the riders get to experience not only the trails but the towns and the lifestyle that makes it so unique. Due to the amazing rugged coastline the riders will get flown, boated, and transported to majestic mountain ranges right in our own backyard. The course consists of on average 60kms a day over 7 days, the timing of each leg should be around 4-6 hours, in 2013 times averaged around 30 hours of riding over 7 days which is amazing considering the terrain you are contending with.
This year the organizers of the BC Bike Race are coordinating cheer zones; there is transportation you can take within each community to these zones which are located in Cumberland on Day 1, Powell River on Day 3 and Squamish on Day 4. Come out and support some of the best single track riders in the world that are fit, daring and crazy enough to take on the West Coast of BC

Favorite Spot in Whistler
We go to Whistler a ton as a family to bike and have stayed at a ton of spots in the village and the Crystal is definitely our favorite. Can't beat the location and by far they have the best staff and service in town. Going above and beyond to make our family and dog feel welcomed. The one bedroom suites with vaulted ceilings feel very private and spacious. Also during noisy times when the village is going crazy late night, the rooms are extremely quiet which is a must for us.
