Whistler Blackcomb got blessed this season with an early snowfall and weather cold enough to make enough snow to open 5 days early! We headed up with a video camera to check out all of the action and we were not disappointed. It snowed 10cm overnight which meant fresh turns and blue skies, doesnt get much better than that....thanks Mother Nature, keep up the good work!! ...
New Whistler GondolasPosted on November 18, 2014
With the start of a new season comes new gondolas, it is time to retire the old ones, they did an amazing job getting everyone up to the top of Whistler for over 26 years but as they always say “out with the old and in with the new”.....90,000 hours on the old gondolas; now that is impressive. I am not sure we can all say you will be missed with the new seats, outside ski racks and roomier cabins on the new lot but you sure did your job the last two and a half decades!!! Wildwood Pacific BistroPosted on November 15, 2014
The Wildwood Pacific Bistro is on the move and we are beyond excited that they will be opening their doors, December 15 th, right here at the Crystal Lodge. The Wildwood is a staple within the Whistler community receiving “Whistler Locals Favorite Breakfast” since 2002. Their breakfasts really are amazing and the best part is they serve them all day from 7:00am to 3:00pm so you don’t need to rush on or off the hill to still get your favorite eggs benny (they have 10 varieties to choose from!) We ...
Whistler Blackcomb - Snow ReadyPosted on November 11, 2014
Whistler Blackcomb is definitely #wbsnowready as you can see from the video above that was shot just last week. Mother Nature has been really good to us so far this winter bringing us fresh snow on the mountains and cold enough weather to make unlimited amounts of snow. There are over 270 guns running at the moment pumping out 52 million gallons of water and the best part is, the water is all natural with no chemicals or additives. It is the flowing water from the mountain glaciers and creeks; they ...

A Wonderful Lodge with Beautiful Staff
I loved every minute of our stay here. The location in the village is perfect. The onsite restaurants are lovely. The rooms were beautiful. Ours was a King Suite - with full kitchen, fridge, coffee maker etc. Wish our stay had been longer.
I hope to return to Whistler in the not too distant future and I will not bother looking at any other accommodation options as this place ticked all the boxes.
