December 17 - January 6Festival of LightsThe Whistler Arts Council presents the fourth annual Whistler Festival of Lights at Scotia Creek Gallery in Millennium Place featuring the ambient glow of lanterns, light sculptures and a local artist exhibit.
December 17Charles Dickens A Christmas StoryEnjoy a dramatic reading of Charles Dickens' classic story, 'A Christmas Carol' that will leave you in a festive mood. Reading will be in the Fireplace Lounge of the Whistler Public Library. Admission is by donation of one non-perishable item for the Whistler Food Bank.
December 19 - January  4Whistler Holiday ExperienceThis indoor family fun zone provides entertainment for kids and parents alike during the holiday season. Kids can enjoy a mini putt course, table games, bouncy castles, crafts and video games free for 15 days over Christmas and New Year. Parents are catered for too - they can relax in the lounge area and enjoy a coffee or hot cocoa while the kids play. Please note The Holiday Experience is usually closed December 25, and December 31 to prepare for the New Year's Celebrations
Dec 13Dress Like Santa and Ski FreeDress like Santa and Mrs. Claus and bring the festive fun to the slopes. A free lift ticket will be awarded to the first 75 people to arrive at the Garibaldi Lift Company, at the base of Whistler Mountain, in full Santa or Mrs. Claus attire. All Santa and Mrs. Claus's will upload the Fitzsimmons Express at 8 AM, continue up Garbanzo Express, then ride or ski to the bottom of the Emerald Express for a group photo
Dec 21Skate with SantaJoin your family on the ice and skate with jolly old St. Nick himself on the outdoor rink at Whistler Olympic Plaza.  Takes place from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, skate rentals also available.
December 18 December 19Chairlift Revue Christmas SpecialA pick up. A chance encounter. A reunion with an old friend. A fight. Whistler’s renowned Chairlift Revue celebrates the best and most hilarious chairlift moments through a number of short skits. This year the Chairlift Revue is getting a Christmas makeover, which means you can expect a whole array of whacky characters just trying to survive the holidays (and their chairlift rides) any way they can. After all, it’s not the holidays in Whistler unless you’ve sat, spat, chatted, and heckled your way up a chairlift – and hashtagged it all on social media
December 31Whistler Presents: New Years Eve CelebrationSay goodbye to the old and welcome the new at this alcohol-free evening of family entertainment and celebration in Whistler Village. Wristbands will be required for entry, and will give access to a range of venues with indoor and outdoor entertainment for young and old. Keep it cozy, and head to one of several indoor parties for a Youth Dance or New Year’s Eve Kid’s Countdown or go out and enjoy the snow and twinkling lights with ice skating at Whistler Olympic Plaza. Top it all off with a special Fire & Ice Show and a dazzling midnight fireworks display. Plus there's no need to drive - take advantage of the free, extended Whistler Transit Service on New Year's Eve from 6 PM until 4 AM late
December31Fire and Ice Show and FireworksThis special Fire and Ice Show will be held at the base of the mountains in Whistler Village from 11:00pm to 12:00am as part of the New Year's Eve celebrations. Dress warm, grab a cup of hot chocolate and prepare to be amazed by the live entertainment including ski and snowboard big air displays, fire spinners, live DJs and fireworks display - it's guaranteed fun for the entire family.
