June 28 - July 5BC Bike RaceBC Bike Race is far more than a race. While it may be the best seven days you've ever had on a mountain bike, that's only part of the story. BC Bike Race is an adventure and an experience. It's a tour of British Columbia's West Coast - the trails, the towns, the lifestyle.  Friends and spectators will have an opportunity to congratulate the riders on their accomplishment on July 6 as they cross the finish line at Whistler Olympic Plaza.
July 1Canada Day
All together now...O, Canada! July 1 is the national day of Canada, celebrated across the country. Whistler celebrates all weekend long with outdoor festivities, music and special events. Get ready to kick up your heels, Canadian-style and remember to pack your favourite red and white outfit.
July 1 - July 5Vancouver Symphony OrchestraJoin the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra for a special Canada Day Concert, as part of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in Whistler program. The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra will be in Whistler from July 1 - 5, 2014 to perform full-orchestra outdoor concerts at Whistler Olympic Plaza as well as six chamber concerts in Whistler Village with brass quintets and string quartets.
Every Sunday and WednesdayWhistler Farmer's MarketThe Whistler Farmers Markets are held in the beautiful Upper Village Market stroll and feature local produce from the Pemberton Valley and beyond. Wander through the open air markets and enjoy tasty artisan foods, local artists, musicians and face painting. Lots of outdoor fun with activities for families and children. Sunday Markets are held from 11 AM to 4 PM, Wednesday Markets from 3 PM to 7 PM
July 18 - 20Pemberton Music FestivalDance the long summer night away at the Pemberton Music Festival. Featuring contemporary artists from across the musical spectrum, the three day outdoor event will be held at the foot of majestic Mt. Currie in the beautiful Pemberton Valley, less than 30 minutes from Whistler. Rock, hip hop, EDM and more in an unbeatable setting – it’s a spectacular summer festival with a unique Coast Mountain vibe.
July 27Subaru IronmanOne of the toughest triathlons in the world returns this summer when more than 2, 000 athletes will take on Whistler's beautiful lakes, mountain roads and Valley Trail network in a test of mental and physical strength. From the thrilling early morning start in Alta Lake to the triumphant finish adjacent to Whistler Olympic Plaza in the Village, this is an awe-inspiring day for spectators and participants alike. There's plenty for athletes, family, friends and spectators to enjoy before and after the race, with special events and activities and an exciting atmosphere unique to the Subaru IRONMAN® Canada event.
TBDWhistler Longboard FestivalIt's a crazy, kinetic celebration of skateboarding in summer. The Whistler Longboard Festival goes off this July with events including a skate bowl jam and the Skate x Shoot Biathlon at Whistler Olympic Park. For maximum gravity fueled excitement, don't miss the 2014 Whistler Downhill Race, held at the Whistler Sliding Center.
TBDWhistler Children's FestivalThe Whistler Children’s Festival fills one weekend every year with art workshops, music, acrobatics, theatre, dance and fun that encourages kids to embrace their imagination! The Festival offers a range of workshops for kids, including pre-school activities for children aged 3-5, intermediate workshops for kids up to grade 8, and workshops for the whole family. Celebrating it's 30th year in 2013, the Festival will be held in Whistler Olympic Plaza.
TBDArtWalk Function Junction Block pARTyArtWalks biggest party happens each summer in Function Junction. This eclectic neighbourhood celebrates with live and interactive art by local artists including living murals, artisan markets, family-friendly street hockey, face painting, children’s crafts, acrobatics and more. This party offers a unique insider perspective into an area recently coined by locals as the “Heart of Whistler”. Bring your bike or roller skates to get to all the venues and have some fun along the way
