Top Pubs in Whistler
Whistler has a vibrant pubs scene with so many different establishments to choose from. What makes a good pub is different to different people, some people like the busy party scene while others like a calm patio to kick back on after a long day on the hill. We have come up with a list of some of the top pubs in Whistler, each unique in their own way offering something for everyone no matter how you rank your bests.
Beacon Pub & Eatery
The Beacon Pub & Eatery is a favorite for locals and tourists alike due to its location and amazing patio where you can people watch for hours while enjoying a BC craft beer. Their beer selection is top notch featuring breweries from all over British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest.
The Beacon also has a great menu that has deep fried pickles and one of the best burgers in town. The Beacon Burger is a must on any burger lovers list, dont forget to upgrade to their truffle fries.

The Longhorn is one of the busiest establishments in Whistler and with it situated right smack dab in the middle of the Whistler and Blackcomb Gondolas, it makes it “the” place to be for après. You can literally ski or bike onto their newly renovated patio and grab a cold one after a big day on the slopes.
This spot is a favorite among tourists because of its location and party atmosphere. The outdoor roof top stage pulls some big names like Paul Okenfold and Benny Benassi making this one of the top picks for party goers of all ages.
The Longhorn Saloon is walking distance from the Crystal Lodge & Suites, just across the village square attached to Garbanzo Bike & Bean.

The new kid on the block is quickly becoming the local hot spots with its unique feel and off the beaten track location. Their beer and cider menu really takes local to heart with only BC selections on tap. True to their roots and local feel makes this a great spot to après. They also have a great little menu that features a Sausage Party where you can choose from 7 different sausages, a side and a sauce for only $12.
The Handlebar is tucked away at the base of Blackcomb across the stroll from Milestones and beside Arbutus Routes. It is about a 8 minute walk from the Crystal Lodge & Suites but it is worth the trek if you like sausages and great beer.

Garibaldi Lift Company (GLC)
The Garibaldi Lift Company aka the GLC makes all of the top pub lists in Whistler due to its location, menu, amazing après vibe and their newly renovated patio. It ticks off all of the boxes for what you need after an amazing day skiing or just checking out all that the village has to offer. During the winter, you will find live music from local bands like the Hairfarmers during après and after the Fire & Ice Show that takes place every Sunday.
If you stick around until after the sun goes down, you will be able to catch some of the best live music this town has to offer. Make sure to checkout the new patio equipped with outdoor fireplaces making it the perfect place to warm up before enjoying a nice cold beer!
The GLC is located right above Guest Services at the base of Whistler Mountain. You can ski in and out as it is literally located on the side of Whistler Mountain. The location couldn’t be better and the vibe is also hard to beat.

Tapley’s Neighbourhood Pub
Tapley’s Neighbourhood Pub is just that, your local neighbourhood pub that has been a fixture in Whistler since before Whistler and Blackcomb were one. This local favorite is also the place to watch big sporting events. Stop by to watch one of their many TV’s that airs all the big games from UFC, Hockey, Soccer, Football, World Cup Rugby, Cricket, Horse Racing and more. They also have BINGO and Skeetball Tournaments with lots of prizes to be won.
Tapley’s is located just steps from the Crystal Lodge along the Village Stroll. You cant miss it with all of the different world flags outside. This is a cant miss for any sports nut or beer drinker; did we also mention they have darts?!
The Crystal Lounge
If you like après, live music and wings, then the Crystal Lounge should make your top pub list. They have great wings that they feature during après but don’t worry if you miss it, your Crystal Advantage Card gets you a discount on wings anytime cause after all, we love our guests.
Make sure to check out their great line up including Trivia Night Mondays, Kareoke Tuesdays, and Comedy Night Wednesdays.
As the name mentions, the Crystal Lounge is located right inside the Crystal Lodge & Suites. It is opposite the ski valet right beside the Old Spaghetti Factory.
Dusty’s Bar & BBQ
The list wouldn’t be complete unless we included one of the bigger bars in Whistler which is located in Creekside. Dusty’s offers a large outdoor patio and plenty of room inside to play pool, drink a beverage, eat some food or watch a live band. The stage is perfect for music acts that come to town or local favorites like The Hairfarmers or A Whole Lotta Led. If the main level gets too busy, you can also check out the balcony which allows you to catch a birds eye view of all the action.
Dusty’s is also home to the BBQ National Championships that take place every year over August long. Come out and try some of the best beef brisket a BBQ can make and don’t forget about their legendary butt rub mayo, this secret recipe will leaving you wanting to come back for more.
Dusty’s Bar and Grill is located in Whistler’s Creekside which is a 5 minute drive south of Whistler Village. You can also ski or bike there from atop Whistler Mountain, all you have to do is keep heading south and stay left from the Red Chair and you cant miss it.
