September 7, 2021 Update: The Government of Canada has announced that effective today, September 7th, 2021 international travelers who qualify for the fully vaccinated traveler exemption can enter Canada for non-essential travel.

Since August 9, 2021 the Canada-US border has been open to American Citizens, and residents of the USA, who have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to entering Canada for non-essential travel.
Our team understands that you may be experiencing concern about what to expect when travelling again due to COVID-19. We believe that mountain travel helps guests connect with nature, revitalize their sense of adventure, and create unforgettable experiences with family and friends. The Crystal believes in creating Awesome Whistler Experiences for all of our guests and at our core is the safety and security of our loyal guests.
Following the guidance from Health Canada and the Resort Municipality of Whistler we have changed some of our services to maintain a safe environment for you so you can travel with confidence. Here are some highlights of what to expect when you next stay with us:
The Crystal is committed to providing guests with flexible booking options. We offer a flexible cancellation policy for most package plans guaranteeing a full refund up to 2 days prior to arrival.

The Crystal will reach out via email and text prior to your arrival to help you self assess whether you, or a member of your travel party, belong to a group of high-risk individuals for COVID-19 exposure. If so, we request that you delay your travel plans as the Crystal is unable to permit high-risk individuals to check-in. This is to ensure the safety of our fellow guests and team members.

All guests will be sent a COVID Health Declaration form approximately 24 hours prior to arrival that they are to sign and return to the hotel prior to their arrival.
Guests are required to wear masks when on the Crystal Lodge premises.
Guests are recommended to wear masks when walking on the Village Stroll.
Social Distancing markers, reminding everyone to stay 6ft/2m away from each other will be visible through the lobby. Employees will also support guests in practising social distancing.
Beyond one person from each travel party, other guests will be asked to remain in their vehicle during check-in.
Hand Sanitizer dispensers are available in the hotel lobby, all elevator foyers, and various other common areas.
Signage is provided throughout the hotel regarding fundamental hygiene tips.
High Touchpoint areas are disinfected frequently including but not limited to: front desk and lobby surfaces, common area doors and door handles, ATMs, elevator buttons, interior and exterior stair and walkway handrails, guestroom doors, and all seating areas.
Public washrooms are cleaned every 2 hours. Paper towel is provided as an option to all bathrooms as well as Dyson hand dryers. Foot door openers are provided on Public Washroom doors.
Guests are recommended to wear masks when in elevators, corridors, parking garage, lobby, and all other publicly accessible indoor common areas of the hotel.
A plexiglass barrier has been installed at the front desk to promote safety and physical distance. Front Desk Agents are required to wear gloves and masks when not behind the plexiglass barrier. Guests are required to wear facemasks in all public spaces.
In addition to the Health Declaration, a Registration card is required to be completed. Guests are requested to place their ID and credit card face up on the desk, during check-in.
Until further notice, The Crystal will not accept cash for payment for guestrooms or hand out loose change for laundry.
All room keys are sanitized regularly.
We encourage guests to communicate with Guest Services via text, phone or email, prior to arrival, to organize activities, restaurant reservations, or any special items.
A welcome letter will be provided upon arrival explaining cleaning procedures, amenities available upon request, and protocols in public spaces.
Contactless check-out is available upon departure.
All rooms are fully cleaned and disinfected after every use. This includes yet not limited to: tables, chairs, cords, surfaces, doors, door handles, remotes, alarm clocks, light switches, phones, pens, major bathroom surfaces and amenities, drapes, dishes, in-room safes, iron and ironing board.
All single-use items, such as Kleenex, toilet paper, amenities including remnants, are discarded.
All guestrooms contain individual circuit heating and air-conditioning units.
Vaccuum’s are equipped with HEPA filters.
Daily Housekeeping is suspended until further notice. When you require additional towels or garbage removal during your stay please contact Guest Services for assistance.
Amenity Kits are available via Guest Services, containing clean towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, sheets, etc.
Social Distancing of 6 ft/2m is encouraged in the Pool area.
Outdoor lounge chairs and hard surfaces will be disinfected regularly.
Hand sanitizer dispensers are available in the pool area.
The Gym may be used after a reservation is made with the Front Desk.
Maximum 3 guests may use the Gym at the same time.
Social Distancing of 6 ft/2m is encouraged in the Gym.
Gym Equipment will be disinfected between each reservation.
The Sauna is closed until further notice.
The Winter Games Room is closed until further notice.
Keep it intimate at The Crystal. Our Emerald room can comfortably host a maximum of 15 people in a spacious manner.
The room layout will be set up to promote physical distancing.
Gloves and masks will be worn by employees servicing an event.
Valet Parking is currently not available.
Bike Valet service is provided by employees wearing gloves and masks.
Ski Valet service is provided by employees wearing gloves and masks.
Storage room frequently disinfected.
The Crystal has communicated to each employee that they are not to work if they are ill.
Gloves and masks are supplied to employees and to be worn as needed by department.
Physical Distancing is enforced in all common and staff areas.
Hand Sanitizer and cleaning solution is provided to all employees.
COVID-19 related training and procedures has been provided to all employees.
No employee is permitted to enter a guestroom when a guest is within the room.
Safety signage and protocols is posted in employee areas to help enforce good hygiene and social distance.
Throughout Whistler, businesses are also encouraging travellers and employees to practice social distancing of 6ft/2m and wear a mask both on the Village Stroll and when in indoor public spaces. As an extra layer of protection guests are required to show proof of vaccination, via their ArriveCan app when dining in restaurants or attending indoor events and activities.
As a guest, we encourage you to do your part to help keep our community safe by showing others how to travel responsibly.
When out and about, please practice social distancing, facemask wearing, frequently washing your hands or use hand sanitizer, greet others with a friendly wave, and cough or sneeze into your elbow.
Our town provides epic mountains, gorgeous lakes, and kilometers of alpine trails for exploration. We encourage you to explore beyond the boundaries of Whistler Village to soak up nature and create memories for years to come.

U.S. Citizens returning home by Air will need to get tested, for COVID-19, no more than 3 days before travelling by air into the United States and are required to show their negative test result to the airline before boarding their flight. The Crystal is not responsible for changes in Government regulations and recommends you visit the CDC website, located here, for specific details before your date of travel, and this website for specific test types accepted.
COVID-19 PCR Traveller tests are available at Rexall Marketplace located at 4360 Lorimer Road. Guests may purchase an Ichor take home test at Rexall and follow the enclosed instructions. FedEx is required to send the test to the lab. FedEx does not provide pick up service after 12pm Monday through Friday. As such, guests flying on a Monday or Tuesday will fall outside of the eligibility requirement for this test. The Crystal is not responsible for determining the test timing requirement, nor FedEx timing requirement, prior to your flight.
Vancouver International Airport is working with CVM Medical for Rapid Antigen testing at 3211 Grand McConachie Way, which is within the airport, for ticketed passengers departing for the United States.
