The week before Christmas is not as busy on the ski hill so you will be able to crush out more vertical feet per day. Get more fresh powder turns and waiting in less lines equals the perfect recipe for an amazing ski day. There really is nothing better than beating the holiday rush when it comes to skiing.
Reason #2 – Try New Activities
When it comes to Whistler, there is so much to do on and off the slopes including a number of outdoor adventures. During the first few weeks of December, all the activity providers are up and running so you will be able to pick your day and time to check something off your bucket list. Jump off a bridge with Whistler Bungee or hit speeds of 125+ kms/hr on the worlds fastest bobsleigh track with Whistler Sliding Centre. If you require something a little less adrenaline filled, the Audain Art Musuem or snowshoeing through Whistler’s old growth forests might be just the the thing you need.
Reason #3 – No Blackout Dates
If you are an Epic Pass holder, you might be up against blackout dates during December. If you come early, you will have full access to both mountains with less lines. Same goes for Edge Card holders, your Restricted Edge Card will be no problem from the 14th to the 21st of December.

Every year, hundreds and hundreds of Santa’s hit the slopes for the Annual Whistler Blackcomb Santa Day. Be one of the first 100 people to arrive at the GLC dressed as Santa or Mrs. Claus and you get to ski for free. How often do you get to ski with the real life Santa?
