Room Service also known as Breakfast in Bed

Replicate the amazing experience of waking up to the smell of fresh coffee and breakfast at your door by rising early to cook Mom breakfast in bed.

As Whistler local’s, we love a hearty breakfast of eggs benedict with creamy hollandaise sauce and treat your Mom to a Canadian favourite with either back bacon, smoked salmon or keep it simple with avocado. Tease your mom with the smell of coffee in the morning – it’s almost as good as the taste. By doing some research on local coffee roasting companies in your local area it is easy to get yourself a bag to grind up in the morning. If you don’t have a coffee machine that’s ok, most roasters will have options on what form the bean comes in for example whole bean, drip, pour-over etc.

Flowers and Pampering

Being a Mom never stops, so we recommend showing your appreciation with flowers and creating a spa day for her at home.

If you have been to Whistler for Mother’s Day before, you know that the Scandinave Spa is a must-do to help Mom relax on her special day. While you might not have saunas, plunge pools and eucalyptus steam rooms at home, you can still give her a relaxing pampering experience. For those lucky Canucks that do have a pool and hot tub, crank up the hot tub and you can have your Mom run in between them for a DIY spa experience.

Our go-to for any beauty products is Beekmans. From apothecary candles to the shampoo you will find at the Crystal, you can give Mom an amazing and relaxing home spa day with their products. You will even find some Mother’s Day gifts on their website here.

For flowers, we use Senka Florist Whistler and like most florists, they deliver. If you are having trouble finding a florist we recommend Bloomex if you don’t have a local florist. It is important to plan ahead so that you can guarantee your Mom an amazing bouquet of flowers one of the most sought-after gifts on Mother’s Day.

Sweet Treats

One thing that we love here in Whistler is our sweet treats. If you have ever visited the Whistler PureBread bakery, you know how hard the final choice is as you stare down delicious brownies, mouth-watering pastries and unforgettable cakes. Luckily if you live in the Vancouver area, you can visit one of their stores in the city and pick up a treat for Mom.

For those that aren’t close to a PureBread bakery or are looking for a more chocolate-focused treat, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory may be your answer. You may have visited them in Whistler, landmarked with the giant apron-wearing bear out the front, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory makes their chocolates fresh daily. They have become a must-visit for chocoholics in Whistler and the good news is that they have locations across Canada that you can buy from.

Wine Not?

To finish of an amazing Mother’s Day in Whistler, we would usually recommend you take Mom to Basalt Wine + Salumeria for wine tasting. You can replicate this at home by visiting their website and viewing their wine list. Contact your local liquor store and see if they have the same bottle in stock or can get that wine ordered for you. Want to go the extra mile? Basalt is famous for not only its amazing wine selection but its fondue! Get yourself a fondue set, some cheese, tasty treats to dip and you can give Mom that delicious Whistler dining experience she deserves.
