Every year, the village stroll is lit up with Christmas lights from the last week of November until mid-January. The village stroll is a wonder in itself, during a snowy night the millions of Christmas lights glisten in the snow and are sure to create an extra twinkle in your eye.

While you’re on a self-guided light tour, make your way to Olympic plaza and take part in Whistler’s free ice skating rink. No skates? That’s ok, skates can be rented for $6 at the rental kiosk. Skate under the stars whilst festive crowd-pleasing tunes play aloud.

Olympic Plaza also offers a Snow Zone for kids and adults young at heart to dust off their toboggans and slide into winter fun. This free zone is located next to the outdoor ice rink.

After adventuring outdoors, warm up with some of the best hot chocolate in town from Blenz Coffee Whistler which is locally owned and makes their hot chocolate using real Belgium chocolate chips! Make sure to get your drink to go so you can get extra toasty standing around one of the two outdoor fireplaces around Olympic Plaza.

Activites for Couples

For adventurous couples, we recommend heading 10 minutes south of Whistler Village to Canadian Wilderness Adventures where you can go snowmobiling. Our favourite tour is the Yukon Breakfast, which takes you zipping in and out of fresh groomers and fresh tracks before stopping for a Yukon breakfast where you can request a private cabin whilst you are dining.

If you prefer to rest and relax, we recommended the beautiful Whistler Scandinave Spa. Their collection of saunas, steam rooms, hot and cold pools as well as their array of massages will allow you to disconnect from reality and enjoy the art of relaxation together.

To complete a perfect day, you can treat yourselves to some of the amazing restaurants on offer on the Whistler village stroll. We recommend Basalt, a unique menu offering guests delicious sharing plates, cheese and charcuterie boards as well as an outdoor fire pit to snuggle up by while you feed each other a classic cheese fondue.
