Whistler is not just a ski heaven for mountain lovers, it’s a playground for celebrities who want to escape the limelight and enjoy adventure. The stars come here not only to conquer the slopes, but also to indulge in VIP service and fine dining. Let’s have a sneak peak on how rich and famous like to spend their vacations at this mountain ski resort.

Whistler’s world-class ski slopes are a magnet for celebrities seeking quality winter time. David Beckham came here with his whole family to learn how to snowboard in 2017 and fell in love with the resort.

Prince Harry accompanied by his spouse Meghan Markle came to Whistler to celebrate Valentine’s Day earlier this year. However, the main purpose of their visit was creating awareness around Invictus Games that will take place in Vancouver and Whistler in 2025 – the Duke of Sussex even tried adaptive skiing himself!

Whistler can definitely satisfy the sophisticated palates of the rich and famous offering a wide range of places to eat and drink. Comedian and actress Chelsea Handler loves to go to the Sushi Village Japanese restaurant for dinner after a day of heli-skiing, in fact, she’s made it a tradition to spend her birthday in Whistler and mark it with extravagant topless photoshoots on the slopes. What is there to say – she even bought a cozy chalet in town a few years ago!

Beyond skiing, Whistler offers plenty of outdoor winter activities to play in nature. Hiking, zip-lining, spa and snowmobiling are just a few of the options. Singer Alicia Keys brought her whole family and showed off her dog sledding experience on social media – Whistler offers plenty of fun family activities!

Apres is another must do activity when going to any ski resort. The whole cast of Riverdale TV show was spotted dancing and partying at Longhorn Saloon at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas just last ski season. In fact, only a few days ago USA Today rated it #3 best Apres-Ski Bar in North America! Champagne guns, international dj’s, Legendary Margarita Bulldog cocktails – if you haven’t done it you are definitely missing out on a great time.

With its dreamy nature and vibrant town life, Whistler is a captivating resort for celebrities looking for a break from the pressures of being famous and constantly chased by paparazzi – no one can invade your privacy if your face is covered with a ski mask. This Canadian ski resort remains a place uniquely positioned in nature’s beauty, erasing the boundaries between the ordinary and the extraordinary, making everyone feel like they’re the heroes of their own winter wonderland Hallmark movie.
