Ultra Trail Whistler by UTMB: August 21 – 23, 2026
Ultra Trail Whistler by UTMB brings one of the world’s most recognized trail running series to Whistler’s mountain playground. With 100K, 50K, 25K, and 10K race options, this event is built for runners looking to test themselves on some of the most scenic and challenging terrain in the Coast Mountains.
Courses take runners through deep evergreen forest, past mountain lakes, and up toward alpine views that showcase Whistler at its best. It is a serious event with elevation, technical terrain, and time cut-offs, but the shorter distances also make it a great goal race for trail runners looking to step into something bigger.
Best for: Experienced trail runners, ultra-runners, and anyone looking for a true mountain race experience.
Distances: 100K, 50K, 25K, and 10K.
Surface: Trail, forest, alpine terrain, roots, rocks, and climbs.
5 Peaks Trail Running Series: September 5, 2026
The 5 Peaks Trail Running Series is one of Whistler’s most scenic race experiences. The adventure starts with a ride up Blackcomb Mountain before runners take on alpine trails surrounded by wildflower meadows, mountain lakes, boulder fields, and sweeping Coast Mountain views.
This race has a friendly, community feel while still offering plenty of technical terrain. With kids’ races and multiple adult distance options, it is a great event for families, weekend warriors, and trail runners who want a memorable day in the alpine.
Best for: Runners who want big views, mountain terrain, and a fun race atmosphere.
Distances: Kids’ races, Sport, Enduro, and Grit course options.
