The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Downhill makes its Whistler debut in 2026, bringing the world’s fastest riders to one of the most iconic bike destinations on the planet.
This is a first for Whistler and a full-circle moment for a place that helped shape modern mountain biking. From legendary trails and gravity-fed terrain to a community that lives and breathes bike culture, Whistler is ready to welcome the global downhill stage.
Expect raw speed, technical terrain, huge crowds, and an electric atmosphere as elite riders take on a purpose-built downhill course in the Creekside Zone of Whistler Mountain Bike Park. It’s more than a race weekend. It’s a celebration of mountain bike culture, Whistler’s gravity roots, and a chance to be part of history in the making.

Event Information
The UCI Downhill World Cup brings together the best downhill mountain bikers in the world for a high-speed battle against the clock. Riders will drop into Whistler Mountain Bike Park on 1199, a purpose-built downhill track designed for elite-level racing.
With steep terrain, technical features, West Coast conditions, and some of the sport’s top athletes on course, this is set to be one of the biggest bike events Whistler has ever hosted.
