Join the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series at Whistler Blackcomb for an unforgettable mountain running adventure. Set high on Blackcomb Mountain, this scenic trail race takes runners through alpine meadows, past mountain lakes, over rugged boulder fields, and into panoramic views that stretch across the Coast Mountains.
With race distances for kids, hikers, first-time trail runners, and experienced racers, this event offers something for all ages, abilities, and ambitions.

Race Experience
The adventure begins with a ride up the Blackcomb Gondola, bringing racers and spectators into the alpine before the race begins. From there, participants take on beautiful mountain trails filled with wildflower meadows, lakes, rocks, climbs, and sweeping views.
Race distance options include:
Kid’s Run – 1 km
Kid’s Run – 3 km
Sport Run or Hike – 7 km
Enduro Run or Hike – 11 km
Grit Run – 12.5 km
Race distances and routes are subject to change based on trail and weather conditions.
Event Schedule
The 2026 event schedule is expected to include Friday packet pick-up in Squamish and onsite packet pick-up in Whistler’s Upper Village on race morning. Racers and spectators will upload on the Blackcomb Gondola before the alpine race starts.

Race Details & Important Information
All racers and spectators must take the Blackcomb Gondola to access the start area. Gondola tickets are not included with standard individual race registration or series passes, but discounted tickets may be available for purchase through Race Roster.
A non-competitive hiker division is available for those who want to enjoy the Sport or Enduro course at a walking pace.
5 Peaks is a cup-free event, so participants should bring their own reusable cup, hydration pack, or water bottle.
For safety, dogs, headphones, strollers, baby carriers, and poles are not allowed on course, except poles in designated hiking categories.
Spectators are welcome, with the best viewing available near the start and finish area.
