In 2004, Crankworx was born in Whistler — a local event with a bold vision. Twenty years later, it’s grown into the world’s biggest mountain biking festival, with stops across the globe and a devoted fanbase. But in 2025, it returns home to celebrate a milestone: two decades of speed, style, and dirt-flying glory.
For ten straight days this August, Whistler transforms into the ultimate destination for riders, fans, and families alike. The energy is electric. The trails are legendary. And the lineup? Absolutely stacked.

This year’s festival delivers a packed schedule of events, many of them free to watch, from elite downhill races to whip contests, pump tracks, and fan-favourite slopestyle showcases. Expect iconic competitions like:

Red Bull Joyride – The crown jewel of slopestyle, drawing over 35,000 fans to Whistler’s Boneyard for an afternoon of world-class riding

Families can check out Kidsworx, with clinics and competitions designed for young shredders. There are also Adaptive DH races, women’s-only rides, team meet-and-greets, expo activations, and daily community events — not to mention the legendary afterparties that take over the village each night.
