Get ready for an unforgettable fall race weekend in Whistler. The Whistler 50 Relay & Ultra returns to Whistler Olympic Plaza for a high-energy day of running, teamwork, community spirit, and post-race celebration.

Open to everyone from first-time relay runners to seasoned ultra athletes, this event is more than just a race. Gather your team, take in the stunning Whistler scenery, and cross the finish line into a lively post-run party in the heart of the Village.

Who Can Participate?

The Whistler 50 offers something for a range of running levels and goals.

Relay Teams of 8
Each runner completes one 10 km loop.

Relay Teams of 4
Each runner completes 20 km.

Solo Ultra Runners
Solo athletes take on a 50 km ultra made up of five 10 km loops.

Whether you’re running with friends, coworkers, teammates, or fellow athletes, the event welcomes both competitive and recreational participants.

The Course

The Whistler 50 course winds through scenic sections of Whistler, using the Valley Trail, Lost Lake trails, and a central race hub at Whistler Olympic Plaza.

Course highlights include:

A 10 km loop format
Hydration stations approximately every 5 km
A traffic-free route with minimal road crossings
One exchange point at the start and finish area in Whistler Olympic Plaza
Easy access to the post-race party zone while teammates are running

The solo 50 km ultra is considered a great first-time ultra option, with runners never far from the race site, support stations, and the energy of the Plaza.

12:00 PM – Early packet pickup opens at Fit First Footwear, Burnaby
7:00 PM – Early packet pickup closes

Friday, October 2, 2026
5:00 PM – Whistler packet pickup opens at Whistler Olympic Plaza
8:30 PM – Whistler packet pickup closes

Saturday, October 3, 2026 – Race Day
7:30 AM – Relay race starts
7:45 AM – Ultra race starts
11:30 AM – First ultra finishers expected
12:00 PM – Finish Line Post-Race Party opens
12:15 PM – First relay team finishers expected
3:00 PM – Ultra runner cut-off, final loop may not start
3:45 PM – Force start for final relay leg
4:00 PM – Awards ceremony
5:00 PM – Course closes
