GLIDE ACROSS NATURE

Water sports and summertime go hand and hand in Whistler. Where else can you find 5 lakes all within such a short distance of each other?

Sailing, standup paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing have become favourites within the recreational community and for good reason. Canoeing and kayaking are an amazing family fun adventures for children of any age. Climb into a canoe and set out as a team around the amazing views and vistas that Whistler has to offer.

Whistler Eco Tours (WET) has everything you need to head out on your own or guided adventure down one of the many lakes and rivers. Among our favourites is the River of Golden Dreams, this scenic glacier-fed river has a lush old-growth forest surrounding both sides. Take in the amazing mountain vistas and if you are lucky you will be able to see some wildlife common to the area such as bears, osprey, beavers, otters and more.

If you are looking for more of an open water adventure, you can join WET on a guided journey back in time with their Rainbow Heritage Paddle or their Ghost Town Exploration Tour.  If you have a big crew you can always head out on the 9 passenger Green Lake Voyageur Canoe Tour across the glacier-fed Green Lake. Backroads Whistler also has a few guided or non-guided tours down the River of Golden Dreams.
