Summer Bike Rentals
At the Crystal, we’re here to take the mystery out of bike rentals! Our partner, Premium Mountain Rentals, is conveniently located on the lobby level of the Crystal Lodge making it easy to get geared up and into the Whistler Bike Park or out on the cross-country trails. The Crystal’s convenient Summer Rentals Form allows you to reserve your equipment in advance of arrival. Here are the answers to some Frequently Asked Questions in order to help you fill out the Summer Equipment Rental form:
WHAT TYPE OF BIKE DO I NEED?
There are many options for biking in Whistler and some bike types are specific to the type of biking you are doing.
Bike Park: If you are riding the Whistler Bike Park, we recommend you rent a Downhill Bike. They are designed to take on the tough terrain of the bike park, however, are not easy to pedal uphill as they are used for lift access only.
Cross-country: If you are planning to get out in the woods and pedal a long distance both up and down the trails a Cross-country/Enduro Bike will be best suited for you.
Valley Trail: Looking to explore the valley and visit every lake in Whistler via the Valley Trail? Then either a Valley or Electric Bike will be best suited to you.

DOES IT MATTER IF I PUT MY WEIGHT AND HEIGHT IN IMPERIAL OR METRIC MEASUREMENTS?
No, our staff will still be able to give you a quote regardless of the measurements. Just be sure to put either cm/ft or kgs/lbs in this field.
I DON’T WANT TO BIKE EVERY DAY I’M IN WHISTLER, DO I NEED TO PUT IN MULTIPLE RENTAL FORMS?
No, we understand the need for a rest day! When selecting dates, put in the desired amount of days you want to ride. When you pick up and pay for your rentals, let the team at Premium know that you are planning on having a rest day and they will adjust your booking accordingly free of charge. You will not be charged for a rest day.
CAN I PICK UP MY EQUIPMENT THE NIGHT BEFORE I RIDE?
Yes. We encourage guests to pick up their equipment from Premium Mountain Rentals the night before they hit the trails to ensure a great start to their day.
CAN I UPGRADE MY BIKE HALFWAY THROUGH THE RENTAL PERIOD?
Yes, you can, the friendly staff at Premium will be able to help you change over your gear. Visit them in-store when you would like to upgrade.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR A HELMET?
This is a personal preference. There are no rules on the mountain that say you must wear a helmet, however, we recommend it.
WHAT IS DAMAGE WAIVER COVERAGE?
Selecting Damage Waiver Coverage is like taking our insurance on your car. If you damage the equipment, you will be covered for any repairs. The cost of Damage Waiver Coverage is only $5 CAD.
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY RENTALS?
You will be emailed a quote from our Reservations Team who will then make the booking on your behalf and connect it to your Crystal Lodge booking. You will pay for your rentals in-store at Premium Rentals when you pick up your equipment.
