This Guinness World book of records holder spans 4.4 kms with only four towers that support the lift. It only takes 11-minutes to get 8,850 metres and is the longest unsupported span in the world at 3.024kms and the heights in the world at 436 meters above the valley floor.
The Peak 2 Peak has played a big part in getting global recognition for Whistler; it has been instrumental with putting Whistler on the map. Since its conception in 2008 it has helped to attract 2,000,000 sightseeing and hiking visits.
”Since its opening in 2008, the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola has inspired guests from across the globe to glide 436 meters above Whistler’s valley floor, suspended between two towers at the record breaking distance of 3.024km apart.
