Whistler Showcase Showdown
The longest running Canadian Snowboard competition is back March 14th and 15th with the 17th annual Showcase Showdown. This year will be bigger and better than ever because for the first time ever, the event will take place over a span of 2 days. Day 1 will consist of the Showcase Show Up aka Slopestyle in the Nintendo Park on Blackcomb Mountain and Day 2 will have the Showcase Show Down aka the Big Air outside the GLC. And just when you think it is all over there will be a Showoff Event aka a rail jam outside the GLC for a Samsung Tablet.
The total prize purse for the 2 day event is over $40,000 in cash and prizes with the top three male snowboarders in the Pro category each day also qualify for the Shred Show during World Ski and Snowboard Fest. This is the perfect warm-up spectator competition to get your eyes, voice and cheering ready for the WSSF.
Favorite Spot in Whistler
We go to Whistler a ton as a family to bike and have stayed at a ton of spots in the village and the Crystal is definitely our favorite. Can't beat the location and by far they have the best staff and service in town. Going above and beyond to make our family and dog feel welcomed. The one bedroom suites with vaulted ceilings feel very private and spacious. Also during noisy times when the village is going crazy late night, the rooms are extremely quiet which is a must for us.
