Balding For Dollars
This year marks the 12th Annual Balding for Dollars which taking place at the GLC on March 29th from 3:30 – 5:30. All of the money raised supports children living with cancer and blood disorders at BC Children’s Hospital. This legendary event takes place during the afterburn which happens to be one of the best après parties in town. The Hairfarmers are going to be there entertaining all of the individuals going under the razor all in the name of charity.
This year’s event hopes to raise over $15,000 for children living with these terrible diseases and the good news is, even if you don’t want to shave your head there are a number of ways that you can still get involved. For the second year running, the Crystal Lodge will be holding a silent auction where you can bid on a number of items such as golf, accommodation, massages, ziplining, apparel and much more and all of the proceeds go directly to the Children's Hospital.
There are always ways to get involved, a few years back there was a Whistler Blackcomb employee that got creative and waxed his back hair because he was bald on his head already and really wanted to be a part of the cause. The Hairfarmers as you can see below, shaved their extremely long beards....all for the kids!
For more information visit their website at www.whistlerbaldingfordollars.com, you can even go on and book a time in the barber chair so you can get shaved during your lunch hour or break
Favorite Spot in Whislter
We go to Whistler a ton as a family to bike and have stayed at a ton of spots in the village and the Crystal is definitely our favorite. Can't beat the location and by far they have the best staff and service in town. Going above and beyond to make our family and dog feel welcomed. The one bedroom suites with vaulted ceilings feel very private and spacious. Also during noisy times when the village is going crazy late night, the rooms are extremely quiet which is a must for us.
